Man I'm loving how loose your work is getting. I can tell you have been drawing a lot because your marks are getting way better. Nice design and composition on the top one. The branch that runs along the top of the bottom image makes it a little static. There is just to much repetition of shapes. Break them up and perhaps make a berry above his head bigger than the rest.
I haven't quite got the story down yet, but here is a character that I have been playing with lately.
